Bedlam unfolded at well-below breackneck speeds in Cork,Ireland, last night when four apparently drunken men took a scissor lift for a joyride.
The group gained control of the utility vehicle, which was stationed in a quayside,at around 8.30pm and drove it around the city centre.
They are heard triumphantly shouting while waving their arms about as they careered down a street.
At one point the vehicle veers towards the pavement and only narrowly avoids hitting a pedestrian by crashing into a bollard.
Earlier two of the men had been seen hanging off the back of the lift while the other two manned the controls driving along a road.
A bridge was reportedly damaged when the men attempted to drive the vehicle over it into another part of the city.

Passers-by reacted with a mixture of amusement and befuddlement, though some were nearly hurt
Gardaí officers stopped the vehicle at a checkpoint giving onto another bridge and arrested two men aged 20 and 31,who remain detained for questioning.
It’s not clear whether the other two men were present at the time or had left the vehicle beforehand.
Scissor lifts, which are used by workers to access heights, can reach speeds of up to around 6mph when the platform is not raised.
There were no reports of injuries in connection with the incident.
