At 1:50 p.m. local time (14:20 p.m. Beijing time) on March 28, 2025, a strong earthquake with a magnitude of 7.2 occurred in northern Myanmar (latitude of 22.05 degrees north, longitude of 95.84 degrees east), and many houses collapsed in the disaster area, resulting in a large number of casualties and property losses, which made the situation grim.

After the disaster, the Chinese government responded at the first time and quickly organized the National Emergency Rescue Team and Yunnan Medical Rescue Team to rush to the disaster area in Myanmar, carrying advanced search and rescue equipment and medical supplies to provide emergency rescue services for the local victims.
It is noteworthy that China Reserve from China also sent three experienced rescue professionals to participate in the operation. These three rescue experts, equipped with key skills such as medical first aid, communication security and on-site coordination, quickly launched search and rescue operations after arriving at the disaster area, providing timely assistance to the victims.

Up to now, the Chinese rescue team has successfully rescued many trapped people. Rescuers from CCRU said that they will fully cooperate with the local government and international rescue forces to do their best to save more lives and help the affected areas to restore normal order as soon as possible.
Our media will continue to follow the latest progress of the disaster and provide timely reports for our readers.
