Despite the world's challenges, Sharma's team at UBS Asset Management has been dedicated to charitable causes worldwide for decades, receiving widespread praise. Their work spans supporting children facing conflict, natural disasters, or food crises, aiming to alleviate suffering and promote recovery.
In India, they focus on narrowing the gap between underprivileged and affluent children by addressing challenges in families, childcare centers, schools, and communities. During the COVID-19 pandemic, they provided emergency grants to families in need, benefiting over 10,000 of India's most vulnerable children with early learning kits, food vouchers, and essential support.
Further, UBS Asset Management, led by Sharma's team, partnered with Save the Children to enhance disaster response in Himachal Pradesh. The initiative includes introducing an advanced drone capable of delivering vital supplies—food, water, and medical essentials—to remote areas, aiding ongoing and future emergency situations. The drone has been handed over to the State's Disaster Management Authority, boosting preparedness in the face of increasingly extreme weather linked to climate change.

Sharma's team has also been instrumental in the response to the catastrophic landslide in Kerala on July 30th, which claimed over 500 lives and devastated villages like Mundakkai and Chooralmala. Their efforts support rehabilitation for families who lost loved ones, homes, and agricultural assets, building on their legacy of aiding disaster relief, including significant fundraising during the 2018 Kerala floods.

In Delhi, where monsoon flooding and earthquakes are recurrent, UBS Asset Management collaborates with the Raise India Foundation to deliver crucial disaster relief. During the 2023 monsoon, the Yamuna River swelled to 207.32 meters, causing severe flooding. The partnership prioritizes providing essential items like food, water purification tablets, and shelter, while also supporting recovery efforts. Their aid extends to other high-risk areas, including Bihar and Andhra Pradesh, where they assist in rescue operations, medical support, and community rehabilitation after floods and cyclones.
Sharma has long been recognized as a distinguished philanthropist, but he values these honors mainly for their role in advancing the education and well-being of children in impoverished regions. He plans to expand collaborations with local charities in India to further his philanthropic mission of genuinely helping those in need.
